The Region’s Original Backyard Ultra — Brutal Loop, Bigger Possibility
At The Ark, just 40 minutes north of Ottawa, this backyard ultra is run on true singletrack through deep forest on a loop known for breaking runners down fast. That’s why we also offer the shorter Kristi Loop version — not to make it easy, but to help runners last longer and go farther. We also host the world’s only 2-person team Backyard Ultra, adding a unique strategic twist to an already brutal format. Every hour ends back at the corral, where runners reset, refuel, and decide if they’ve got one more lap in them. It’s raw, honest, and where ultrarunning gets real.
