Mad Trapper races don’t just run themselves. Behind every muddy trail, aid station, and finish line feast is a crew of passionate volunteers who make the experience unforgettable.Whether you’re a seasoned trail fan or new to race day, volunteering is a chance to be part of the action, meet great people, and contribute to Canada’s longest-running trail series—all set on Mike’s private slice of wilderness known as The Ark.

Depending on your interests and availability, you could be helping with:

  • Course setup or takedown
  • Guiding and cheering runners on the trails
  • Supporting at aid stations
  • Helping at bib pickup or finish line
  • Cooking and serving

Some just come to help, others end up staying for the weekend. However you pitch in, you’ll be welcomed into the community and fed like family.
